Rights Society: BMIAbout The Live Five
Hailing from Salem Oregon, The Live Five were a powerful force in defining the sound of the Pacific Northwest in the 1960's.
They worked closely with other NW bands of the era including The Sonics, The Wailers, Paul Revere & The Raiders and many other garage rock greats.
The Live Five recorded several records and their popularity gained them a contract with Jerden Records.
The Live Five were not only a local dancehall favorite, they also were selected to be the opening band for many national acts with included The Rolling Stones, Sonny & Cher, The Everly Bros., The Beach Boys and many others during their short 3 year career (1965 - 1968).

Hi mate, great channel, I sekected some tracks (38) that ere missimg in my collection. Keep on the fab work!
One fantastic record...produced by Gil Bateman for Jerry Dennon. This record should have been a national top ten record!
This is the b-side of their 5th single. The song already had been released in 1966 as Hunose (pronounce Who knows) as a-side of their 2nd single (Panorama 46). See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcGY-J_JS5w
I was in high school with most of these guys, and this was their best song, in my opinion. They recently played at an EJD birthday bash and an all-class Serra/Sacred Heart reunion.....50 years later!
kick ass song. i hear some proto punk in this song.
Ace tune!
