The project's 2007 album, Give Me Your Soul... Please, shows its little relevance in the contemporary niche, right from its terrible demo-like fluffy plug-in production: also, Petersen's vocals are so worn and decayed by constant wear here that they sound almost hushed. With Mercyful Fate on hold and lack of interest in King Diamond's activity (despite the Metal Blade contract) except for revivalism brought by Metallica as influences, Petersen stopped releasing new material with either of the two, turning his solo project for concerts only, at least before resurrection Mercyful Fate as well in 2019.
