Review by Hoàn Ngô

Bogart To Bowie by Kathi McDonald is an exceptional album that showcases the incredible vocal talents of the artist. The album is a tribute to the late actor Humphrey Bogart and legendary musician David Bowie, with McDonald covering some of their greatest hits.

With her powerful and soulful voice, McDonald effortlessly delivers each song with passion and emotion. From the bluesy "Key to the Highway" to the rock-infused "Rebel Rebel," McDonald's rendition of each song is unique and captivating.

The album also features some amazing musicians, including Paul Barrere of Little Feat and blues guitarist Taj Mahal, who add their own flavor to the tracks.

yep i bought this album when it came out. who else Big Brother gonna get to replace Janis than Kathi at that time?Kathi sang much longer than 27 years. learning Janis tricks but thru the years showing inventive vocal phrasing & i just like what she can do with her voice, that growl & high end, love love!
Bought this LP when it first came out. Loved it. Lost it somewhere along the line. It’s so great to hear it again. Not only does it hold up after all this time, it’s even better than I remember! Really great album.
I saw sing on a Leon Russell tv show , Doing Delta Lady amazing , RIP
Should of been famous
Thanks so much for posting this! Incredible singer who should have had a huge career. All I Wanna Be has been in my top ten since high school.
just got this vinyl from the thrift and all i can say is wow
Heard this album when I was a young boy, never saw it since. But I have news for you: this album is gorgeous, and I will own one (vinyl, there is nothing else) TOMORROW! It is never too late.
Kathi sort of replaced Janis in BBHC. which is no small feat and also sang on many other Greats albums. Those in the Biz back then knew this woman had an incredible voice, and this solo album recorded in 1973 proves it! It took me years to find this vinal treasure and I finally did, I realized why I searched for so long. Definitely good things come to those who wait. Fantastic..??❣️???
