Is the guy on drums named Barletto?
The guitar player may be Wally Richardson, he had toured with Wil Bill Davis in the 50s and he is credited on the A side ''West of Allah'' http://www.discogs.com/Wild-Bill-Davis-West-Of-Allah-Wild-Blues/release/814122
Dickie Thompson on Guitar.
Beautiful !
Great tune! Could be Chris Columbus on drums, according to a couple bios. He started his career in the 1920s with Fletcher Henderson, and found great success with the Louis Jordan Timpani Five.
Bill Davis doesn't get the credit he should, he made a ton of incredible records through out his entire career. Ex Willis Jackson, Louis Jordan and Brother Jack McDuff left handed monster Bill Jennings did a lot of work with him as did the equally grooving & one of the first electric guitarists on record, Floyd Smith. But it deosn't sound really a lot like either! Very nice cut though.
