Kalapana is a Hawaiian pop-rock/jazz group that released several albums in the '70s and '80s. They were also warming up bands like Earth, Wind & Fire, Batdorf & Rodney, The Moody Blues, Sly & The Family Stone, and Cecilio & Kapono in the '70s. 2011: Winner for the group of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award under the auspices of the Hawaiʻi Academy of Recording Arts.
