When I was about 15 or so, my parents took me to see Benny play at Towson State with a small group. At the end of the concert he hung around on the stage and I decided to approach him. He was gracious beyond belief with a young brat like me. I was an avid flea marketer at that time and had a lot of 78 rpm records, I mentioned that I had him on a lot of 1920'S Ben Pollack records. Benny's face lit up " Man, you mean people still listen to that stuff, that's dinosaur music" he meant it fondly, as he said it with a smile on his face. I then shook his hand and we both said goodbye. I was happy at the moment but now I realize what a great moment it was. I am now 60 and make my living as a stride and cocktail pianist. God bless.

Love Benny and the band but keep going back to this and other videos of the performance because of the couple quite featured ( yes think lady in pink dress). Oh dear, who told you you could jive? He's bouncing up and down on the spot and she's just hanging on and flinging herself around. Still, suppose they had a good evening.
