Fantastic listening
Thougt it was. Kenny wheeler on trumpet.
When I was a student at LSE c1959 I hired Joe's band to do a lunchtime gig. I think it was just before Shake joined. In the pub afterwards, I recall Joe regretting we only had one hour: "your horn doesn't get properly warmed up". A GREAT musician.
Two friends of mine knew Joe back in the 50s, and they both said he was a very polite
well dressed man who was gifted beyond belief. Many of his peers at the time thought
the "Freeform" and "Abstract" period was a waste of time, because it was so far ahead of its' time and nobody could understand it. Since trad jazz music was a polite
replica of the real thing, it held sway until The Beatles wiped it out overnight.

Joe had the last laugh, as he is now recognised as a true innovator.
I came here to find a link to the music to send to someone: I met the group back in 1968 or 9 at the Northcott theatre in Exeter. Joe spent sme time chatting to us about music... a kind man, as I don't play...I just listen. A few years ago I heard and met Courtney Pine who is promoting Joe's music. Told him I had mer joe and he went green with envy.

Excelente Tema desde México se les agradece
John mayer was my composition teacher at Birmingham conservatoire and really inspired me to write fusion music as he was the pioneer of jazz fusion. I'm a fashion designer now but I'm paying homage to john with my biggest fashion show on sunday febuary 19th 2012 at Adrian bolte hall in Birmingham at 7pm .I am writing my first symphony based on an Indian scale for my symphony orchestra of 80 musicians and my indo jazz ensemble the khush kollective .
I thought this was like old school jazz mixed with original john mayer! I was like so sikedd!
Joe Harriott was a great musician and pioneer!..Just like Typhoo put the 'T' in Britain, Joe put the 'I' in Indo jazz!!!..Awesome!!
Do you see them? You are a lucky man. You saw a little piece of history about music. A marvellous period, with great british musicians and full of ideas and experiences. Veramente bello
Brings back memories of seeing them live in Exeter and spending about half an hour with Joe just talking music.
Thank you for uploading this. I own this album and love it, but I can't play it right now, and this is great
well this isn't *insert generic John Mayer thing* heh heh heh
Wicked...! Great...!
Coleridge Goode (Bass) and Joe Harriott (Sax) some of the best Jamaica has ever produced
LOVE this song... Let me know if there are (legal) digital avenues to get Hariott's work...
that's not the john mayer i thought it was going to be lol
