About Jimmie And Leon Short
Jimmie was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma and Leon in Ranger, Texas. They both grew up in Texas. They started their radio career in San Antonio, Texas in 1938. In 1942, selected the boys for his own program over one of the most popular Texas stations.
There's no doubt about it that the unique guitar sound of the Short Brothers has been responsible for the terrific early success of Ernest Tubb
