Herrn Stumpfes Zieh & Zupf Kapelle are back with their latest album, Henderscheviersche, and it's a wild ride from start to finish. The German folk band has been around since the 1980s, and their experience and skill are on full display here.
The album is a mix of traditional German folk songs and original compositions, all played with a frenetic energy and a sense of humor. The band's signature sound is a mix of accordion, zither, and other traditional instruments, and they use them to create a sound that is both lively and intricate.
Highlights include the upbeat "Schnitzelbank" and the haunting "Die Gedanken Sind Frei." The band also shows off their versatility with the jazzy "Zupf'n Swing" and the rock-inspired "Klavierbauer."
