Hawkwind - Bring Me The Head Of Yuri Gagarin

Review by Arie Gondes

Hawkwind's latest album, Bring Me The Head Of Yuri Gagarin, is a mind-bending journey through space and time. The band, known for their psychedelic sound and sci-fi themes, delivers an impressive collection of tracks that will transport listeners to another dimension.

The album opens with the title track, which sets the tone for the rest of the record with its heavy riffs and trippy effects. "Space Ship Blues" is another standout, with its catchy chorus and spacey soundscapes. "The Watcher" is a slower, more introspective track that showcases the band's ability to create a haunting atmosphere.

One of the most impressive aspects of Bring Me The Head Of Yuri Gagarin is the way Hawkwind blends different genres and styles. "Farewell, American Hero" is a bluesy track that features some impressive guitar work, while "Robot" is a funky, danceable tune that will get your feet moving.

搖滾經典之作
The (whole ? ) gig was filmed for the promo video for Urban Guerilla. Snippets of the show can be seen on the DVD from the Deluxe Edition 3 disc Space Ritual CD. The burning question is......where is the rest of the Wembley Empire Pool footage ?????
for added, raddled, overpower take with Krasznahorkai's tale "That Gagarin" (in The World Goes On)
shame it's not the beautiful Barney Bubbles cover, perhaps he's very best... and what an awesome title: Gagarin in the role the Baptist (bet that was Cpt. Bob....)
This concert was recorded at the Wembley Empire Pool, London, England on May 27, 1973, how do I know I was there : )
Ooh... my ears is bleedin’.
You took my dream and canned it..
It is not the way I planned it.
I'm society's destructor..
I'm a petrol bomb constructor.
it murky as hell sounding but great with headphones
It's still fucking incredible.
:)
How did they release this? It's borderline unlistenable.
A real fan bootleg.
Actually this was the first disc i got, really even before official discs. Before that i had tapes and as this was a million miles better than Darmstadt, Otto Bernte Hall 71, but that too, actually is great. Maybe my favourite early Hawkwind tape.
