Review by Sergio Gómez Gil

Panorama, the latest album by the renowned bassist and composer Hans Glawischnig, is a mesmerizing journey through a kaleidoscope of sounds and emotions. Released on the Sunnyside Records label, this album features Glawischnig's distinctive voice on the bass, as well as his impressive skills as a composer and arranger.

From the opening track "Circles" to the closing "End of the Day," Panorama takes the listener on a musical voyage that is both adventurous and contemplative. Glawischnig's compositions are complex and intricate, yet accessible and engaging, with a wide range of influences from jazz, classical, and world music.

The album's title track "Panorama" is a standout, showcasing Glawischnig's impeccable bass playing and the band's tight ensemble work. "The Third Principle" is another highlight, featuring a beautiful melody and a soulful solo by saxophonist Samir Zarif.

Throughout the album, Glawischnig's bandmates - Zarif, pianist Luis Perdomo, and drummer Eric Doob - provide excellent support and add their own unique voices to the music. The album's production is also top-notch, with a clear and balanced sound that allows each instrument to shine.
