Review by Angela Vásquez Oliver

The Georgia Prophets have delivered a stunning album with "I Got The Fever California." The band's signature sound, which blends elements of rock, blues, and soul, is on full display throughout the record, and it's evident that they have honed their craft to perfection.

From the opening track, "California Fever," the listener is transported to a sun-drenched landscape, filled with palm trees, beaches, and good vibes. The song's infectious groove sets the tone for the rest of the album, which is full of catchy hooks, soulful vocals, and expertly crafted instrumentals.

Tracks like "Rollin' Stone" and "Sweet Lovin' Mama" showcase the band's bluesy side, with gritty guitar riffs and powerful vocals that are sure to get listeners moving. Meanwhile, "Don't Say Goodbye" and "Stay With Me" offer more introspective moments, with heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies that tug at the heartstrings.

RIP Billy Scott. Another Legend lost.
Long after so many of today's Disney "singers" are off the map, this stuff will still be around.
This is high quality, and is what real music is all about.
Over 40 years and I still LOVE this song!
Yeeehaw, Tommy Witcher RIP.
Cheers mate.....we love these little tid-bits of info........but we love the music more......
Originally released as The Prophets on US Smash (Mercury, UK) in 1969, to me this is one of the finest moments of the early UK 'Northern Soul' scene. I've never tired of it since I first heard it at a local pub disco (40 years ago!), and it's in my "all-time faves box" to this day. Thoroughly uplifting and sanctifying, it makes me want to laugh and cry and dance for joy all at the same time - and that's what Soul music is all about, right?

I'm taking this record with me to the "other side!"
