About exit 13

Exit-13 was a grindcore band from Millersville, Pennsylvania. The band were formed in 1989 by Relapse Records founder and co-owner , guitarist Steve O'Donnell and bassist . Their early recordings, including the Disembowelling Party tape, The Unrequited Love of Chicken Soup 7" and the Eat More Crust tape, their debut full-length Green Is Good and the EP Spare the Wrench, Surrender the Earth featured a line-up of Yurkiewicz, O'Donnell and DiPietro, with drum duties being shared between and . Exit-13 underwent a line-up change prior to 1994's Ethos Musick, and recruited the rhythm section of , famous for his work with , and on bass guitar, and his Brutal Truth bandmate on drums. Brutal Truth's vocalist also provided backing vocals. Future line-ups were to include , and , amongst others. The band's lyrics mainly focused on environmental issues, but also concentrate on social issues.
