It's a modern changing world.... Sad in retrospect.
Fantastic song
If I had to pick just one, this is it!!!
Carol l still cry hearing this. My Beautiful Own True Love. Which was Our Wedding Song. Yeah we had a Band. But we brought a phonograph for them to play The Dupree's song for Our dance . You're gone 20 years. God took you too soon at 44. Love Your Johnny ❤️?❤️?? 4 Always & Eternity as we would say.
Brilliant
My mom passed away in 1963 when I was 7yrs old. One of my few memories of her was listening to this song one a little record player. She loved it.
I love this song. Used to play it on the jukebox over & over. Love the Everly Bros. Miss their great harmonies.
This turned out to be their final top ten hit in the spring of 1962.
Rip Don. Now the band is back together in heaven

ab fab ............ even more popular in the UK than the USA
wonder who played the opening horn lines
Best hair. This song was going thru' my head this morning, and I hadn't heard it since the '60s. It was driving me nuts. The beat came first, and I was cycling words thru', and I hit on 'that's the way it's going to be' and I ran that around until other words started to fall in place. If I could remember who sang it, I could look up a discography. I still didn't have the name of the tune; then the words 'that's old fashioned' connected to the other words. The 'Everly Bros.' didn't occur to me for about another 5 min. and I searched the Discog - there it was, and now I'm here, and the ear-worm is gone. Whew. It was a really different offering from the E Bros., so remembering who did it was hard until I heard the song as harmony in my head - then I had it.
A dynamic duo !
YES,it should be
