Review by Eli Javier

Ernest Tubb's album, A Good Year For The Wine, is a classic country record that showcases his smooth and twangy vocals, as well as his exceptional songwriting skills. Released in 1979, the album features 10 tracks that capture the essence of traditional country music.

From the upbeat and catchy "I'm Gonna Tie One On Tonight" to the heartfelt ballad "Wine Me Up", Tubb's performance is both authentic and emotive. The album also includes a few covers, such as "Rainbow At Midnight" and "Slippin' Around", which Tubb infuses with his own unique style.

The instrumentation on the record is equally impressive, with steel guitar, fiddle, and piano providing the perfect backdrop for Tubb's vocals. The production is clean and crisp, allowing Tubb's voice to shine through.

HEARD THIS SONG ONCE IN 1960. LOVED IT, BUT HAD NOT HEARD IT AGAIN UNTIL TODAY, FEBRUARY 10, 2019. THE GREATEST TROUBADOR OF ALL TIME ERNEST TUBB SINGS A GREAT SONG!
Recall our camp fire version of these lyrics for when we were drinking mad dog or thunderbird was "Mustsa been a good MONTH for the wine" I knew the song and other ones from them ,were on the juke box of my Moms bar :) always love the humor side of his songs:) thanks. Rick
Libtards are ruining America!
He sounds like Roger Miller.
Good country music right there Nashville that's how it should sound not this bong bong bong shit you guys playing now days.
The funny thing is the hippies they are complaining about are now as conservative as these guys.
Funny how this song and other ones like it just keep getting more and more real and true as time goes by
To extremist leftist libtard that hate USA
People should hear this music!
I don’t respect most politicians who come into office, but these lands & people can truly be worth wild.

So if you disagree with the government you have to leave the country? And you said that's democracy. No sir it is not. That's not how you make things better.
If you are ambitious enough, and not afraid to crack a few eggs, America will reward you handsomely. If not, then it would be in your best interest to emigrate out, while you still have the finances to do so. Entering poverty in the U.S. will result in your death on the street, as the country has no safety net or legal means to transform leeches into productive members of society. The actual intention of the American Dream implies that, should you not start out at a high standing, you need to leave, gain financial stability elsewhere, then come back as an entrepreneur to take advantage of the U.S'. looser regulations and maximize revenues. Not entering with ambitious goals will result in aforementioned death.
As far as propaganda goes this song is top tier, Tubb always sounds good even when I disagree with what he says
FANTASTIC! "It's America (Love it or Leave it)"... haHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAhahahaha...

Just the VERY old truth as always... :)
As an immigrant from Mexico its frustrating that I have to tell these things to chicanos. For fucks sakes, get a grip buds.

Ernest, most of tunes are great, but US people have EVERY right, if it's really a free country.
This will be my "Serbia Strong" in the inevitable collapse
Hilarious!
