Review by Ross Hayes

Dexter Gordon's album Walk The Blues is a masterpiece that showcases the legendary saxophonist's unique style and sound. Released in 1998, this album features Gordon's signature blend of bebop and blues, with a touch of swing and soul.

From the opening track "Blues Walk" to the closing number "Soy Califa," Gordon's playing is full of energy, passion, and virtuosity. His improvisational skills are on full display, as he weaves intricate melodic lines and soulful solos over the swinging rhythms of the accompanying musicians.

The album also features some great compositions by Gordon, such as "I Want More," "Fried Bananas," and "A La Modal," which showcase his versatility as a composer and arranger.

The sound quality is extremely good for a 1967 live. Well, such monster players make it easier. Amazing document!!!
What an amazing group. Beautiful! Sounds like Dexter is quoting Blue Moon at the outset of his solo on Soy Califa.
