The Big 3 is a must-have jazz album for any true jazz aficionado. Featuring the legendary saxophonists Coleman Hawkins, Lester Young, and Ben Webster, this album is a masterclass in jazz improvisation and showcases the unique styles and personalities of each musician.
The album features a mix of original compositions and classic jazz standards, including "The Man I Love," "Body and Soul," and "Prisoner of Love." Each track is a showcase of the trio's incredible talent and ability to seamlessly blend their styles together.
Coleman Hawkins, known as the "Father of the Tenor Saxophone," is the leader of the group and his powerful and soulful playing is a standout throughout the album. Lester Young, also a tenor saxophonist, is known for his smooth and melodic playing style, which provides a perfect contrast to Hawkins' more robust sound.
