Died : July 29, 1997 in Jackson, New Jersey.
Chuck Wayne was a jazz guitarist who came to prominence in the 1940s. He is best known for his work with s First Herd, and for being the first guitarist in the quintet. He also was 's music director and accompanist from 1954-1957.
