1959 was the year "Kissin' Time" made it on to the top twenty and for the next four years Bobby Rydell was a regular on the music charts. Among his long list of hits were "Forget Him

I'm so saddened to find out that BOBBY RYDELL passed away. I didn't learn of his passing until today. I have great childhood memories from watching the movie, "BYE, BYE BIRDIE" over and over again as a kid!!! It was considered an old movie by the time I became aware of it and was able to watch it on TV!! I LOVED AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT from the very first time I saw it!!!! I made it my business to watch it every time it came on!!! The movie is how I came to know of BOBBY RYDELL!!!! I had already knew of ANNE MARGARET but I fell in LOVE WITH THE MOVIE, THE MUSIC(SONGS), DANCE ROUTINES, STORYLINE, THE CHARACTERS AND ESPECIALLY, "BOBBY RYDELL"!!! I was a little girl, probably no more than 8 or 9 years old when I first saw it and I had a HUGE CRUSH on him!!!! I loved his singing voice and I thought he was so attractive/very good looking!!!! I wound up finding out he as well as some others were from Philadelphia, which is were I'm from and that made my adoration for him even better!!! I could always go to my Aunt and inquire, learn and become knowledgeable about celebrities that were before my time. I knew way more than friends my age did about actors, movies, groups, singers, songs, etc. that I couldn't have conversations with my friends about the aforementioned topics because they didn't know and wouldn't know what I knew. I could only talk to my Aunt, ask her questions and learn from her!!! I've always remained a HUGE FAN OF BOBBY RYDELL and so many others that were before my time and era. I'm a music lover of many, many music genres for years!!! I used to get my tape recorder ready to tape the songs from the "BEATLES" when one of their moves wound come on TV so I could learn the songs and sing them and they're not the only ones I taped!!! One of my favorites gone, BOBBY RYDELL❤️?❤️RIP BOBBY ⭐️⭐️????????
