Review by alex chousmith

Charleston Gal, the latest album by Bob Augustin and The Shannonaires, is a delightful collection of classic swing and jazz tunes. The album opens with the upbeat track "Charleston Gal," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The Shannonaires' tight harmonies and Bob Augustin's smooth vocals are a perfect match for the swinging horn arrangements and lively rhythm section.

The album's standout tracks include "Ain't Misbehavin'," "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)," and "Take the A Train." Each song is given a fresh and lively interpretation by Augustin and The Shannonaires, who infuse each track with their own unique style and energy.

Throughout the album, the musicianship is top-notch, with each member of The Shannonaires contributing to the overall sound. The horn section is particularly impressive, adding a bright and lively texture to the arrangements.
