Review by Garry Wilmeth

XX Century, the album by Bert Ambrose, is a musical journey through the 20th century. The collection of tracks showcases the evolution of music over the past hundred years, with each song representing a different era and genre.

Ambrose's unique style brings a fresh perspective to classic pieces from the past. His arrangements of popular tunes from the 1920s, such as "Charleston" and "Ain't Misbehavin'," are lively and upbeat, while his versions of 1960s hits like "A Hard Day's Night" and "My Girl" are soulful and nostalgic.

The album also features original compositions by Ambrose, including the hauntingly beautiful "XX Century" and the upbeat "Swingin' in the 21st." These tracks showcase Ambrose's versatility as a composer and musician.
