About Bert Ambrose
Ambrose (b. 15 September 1896 London, England d. 11 June 1971 Leeds, England) was an English bandleader and violinist. His professional name was officially Bert Ambrose, but he was universally known simply as Ambrose. Dance band leader at the Embassy Club and May Fair Hotel in the 1930s.
