Notes
- This version is the original pressing. It can be distinguished from the subsequent versions several ways, which include, but are not limited to the following:
- First, the circular crescent logo for Paul Winley Records printed on both labels lacks the stem found on, for example, the side B label of the 1982 reissue version.
- Second, although similar, the characters etched into the runout grooves on this version are noticeably smaller than on subsequent versions.
- Third, subsequent versions have noticeably thinner runout grooves and play with some noise, the latter of which has been attributed to the fact that many of the subsequent versions did not originate from the original audio masters. Instead the audio was sourced from vinyl pressings, which likely were copies of this version, and, as a consequence, can also be identified during playback by the intermittent presence of noise transposed from the original vinyl source of the audio.

About Bambaataa, Zulu Nation, Soul Sonic Force Harlem Underground Band
DJ and pioneering American hip hop artist most famous for fronting
Born April 17, 1957 in the Bronx, NY, USA. He adopted the stage name Afrika Bambaataa Aasim, after a nineteenth century Zulu chief. He is of West Indian descent and cousin of AKA .
He grew up in New Yorks South Bronx, his musical eclecticism matched by his vision of African American social and racial unity. In the mid-1970's he was one of the pioneers of New Yorks emergent Hip-Hop culture of Rapping, DJ Mixing/Scratching, Graffiti and Breakdancing. Along with two other Bronx DJs, and (both also of West Indian origin), he began playing small percussive sections from obscure and unexpected rock, funk and electro-pop records as a rhythm track for rappers, interspersing the beats with extracts from cartoon melodies and film themes.
Inspired by the British film 'Zulu', Bambaataa had founded a loosely convened organization of hip-hop's cultural luminaries, called the 'Universal Zulu Nation'. Described as both a fan and a master of records, Bambaataa achieved one of his lifetime ambitions in 1984 by recording "Unity
