Andrew Liles’ latest album, Colossus Amalgamation Codicil Appendix, is a stunning work of experimental music that pushes the boundaries of sound and composition. The album features a diverse range of styles and influences, blending elements of ambient, noise, avant-garde, and electronic music into a seamless and cohesive whole.
From the opening track, “The Great Beast Speaks”, Liles creates a sense of unease and tension that permeates the entire album. The use of dissonant chords and eerie sound effects creates an unsettling atmosphere that is both captivating and unsettling. This feeling is carried through to tracks like “The Legacy of the Wasp” and “The Terrible Secret of the Black Mountain”, which use distorted vocals and industrial sounds to create a sense of foreboding and dread.
Despite its dark and unsettling tone, Colossus Amalgamation Codicil Appendix is also a deeply immersive and rewarding listening experience. Tracks like “The Sea and the Mirror” and “The Garden of Earthly Delights” are hauntingly beautiful, with delicate piano melodies and lush orchestration creating a sense of melancholic nostalgia.

- Limited to 300 copies, the LP is packaged in a high gloss laminated sleeve and has a printed lined inner. This is referred to as the "Dirty Mauve" coloured edition.
- Colossus was initially released as a download project that consisted of 50 tracks all of which were 50 minutes long. It was completed on 11th March 2019, Liles' 50th Birthday.
- Part One and Two of the download version combined are over 41 hours of music.
- The songs are extreme, simple, complex, mellow, angular and often surreal adaptations of every single hit from the last 50 years that was at Number One in the UK charts on Liles' birthday.
- This L.P. version is an instrumental, edited and consolidated collection of all 50 tracks in chronological order cut into 50 second extracts.
- Limited to 300 copies, the L.P. is packaged in a high gloss laminated sleeve and has a printed lined inner. This is the Dirty Cantaloupe coloured edition.
