IAN BROUDIE IS A BRILLIANT SONBGWRITER/PRODUCER (ALISON & ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN); AN UNBELIEVABLE RE-WORKING OF AN ALL-TIME CLASIC SONG
What a masterful version produced by the lighting seeds ave echo & the bunnymen's producer, the great Ian Broudie
Good lord this is version is amazing. She has one of the greatest voices ever. Up there with Annie Lennox.
I like this version SO much better than the original. Thanks for posting!
Beautiful video! This mix is hot! I have heard the original (much slower) version, but never this one. I only wish it was longer because I keep listening to it over and over! When was this version released and on what album? Cheers.
Thank you!
How the hell was this not a bigger hit.
I do not know! I LOVE this SO Much!!
The original version is haunting but this quicker one from 'Essex' is so powerful and she sounds amazing. Thanks for posting!
I just bought this on vinyl. I've always preferred Yazoo's version over Alison's '94 re-recording of the track. This remix isn't amazing, but I like it. I think I'd prefer that Junior remixed the original. Something about Alisons slower vocals match the songs message of yearning better. The out-of-breath vocals of the new recording seem at odds with the lyrics.
No. This song is not appropriate for a re-mix. The best version is Alison's solo version called Ode to Boy II.
I like Junior, but this one doesn't do it for me. The song didn't need a remix.
sick track!! i love it!! thanks for sharing!!
One of the all time great club mixes.
Chunky!
Great show but she didn't play my 2 fav moyet songs
This and "it won't be long" from hoodoo (2004)
She played too many songs from her new album "other"
Which is average at best
Her yaz songs were great
Any body else went
