Ace & The Inswings have created a masterpiece with their latest album Hot Buttered Dub. The album is a perfect blend of reggae and dub, with a touch of jazz and funk. The musicianship is impeccable, with each member of the band bringing their unique style to the table.
The album starts off with the upbeat and funky "Dub It Up", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The bassline is infectious, and the horns add a nice touch. "Cool Runnings" is another standout track, with its catchy melody and smooth vocals.
One of the highlights of the album is "Stepping Out", which features a beautiful piano melody and a soulful saxophone solo. The track has a laid-back vibe that is perfect for a lazy afternoon.

Charlie Ace was one of the Jamaican DJ originals. Following his career as a DJ, in the early 70's he drove around the backstreets of Kingston in his Swing A Ling Mobile Record Shack, a converted Morris Van. From this mobile shop, he would sell the latest releases, many of them pressed on his own label Swing-A-Ling. He was gunned down in Kingston in the early 1980's.
