About Me: Financial Sector benefits from three types of professionals - academic theorists who forward the theory and models for use, practitioners who implement these tools and the regulators who oversee and audit the system to ensure a balance of risk and reward. The linkage between the three sectors is critical to the success of financial sector. Not many can experience the three worlds . I am fortunate, in that respect. Not only did I research extensively in economics and finance, I served government research institutions and taught extensively in management schools and universities, has been part of academic think tanks I have also been a practitioner with big 4 consulting firm advising on strategy and implementing financial tools in multiple countries. Finally, have had a rich experience in regulation and supervision including monetary policy, financial stability and supervision of financial institutions in Asian and Middle East markets.Been part of various Boards and high level committees across the world. playing key role in steering institutions towards safe and secure digital transformation of banking sector . Ph.D in Economics from India , post doctoral fellow ( Financial Risk Modeling) at the University of California , Irvine, USA, A Board Member of the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association ( PRMIA) (www.prmia.org) and continue to serve risk profession as a member of the Global Risk Leaders group of PRMIA. Deep understanding of risk management, ICAAP, Basel 3, Cybersecurity, Conduct Risk ,Compliance,Model risk, data science , corporate governance issues and monetary as well as fiscal economics.
