About Me: Im a 26 year old black female, who has had Natural hair for the 26 years of my life my. I always wanted to perm my hair when I was younger because I would always see the other black girls with straight in my elementary school, I would always say "mom why cant i get one"? she would reply "you do not need to damage your hair, so no you will not be getting one, when you turn 16 and you still decide you want to perm your hair you can do it". Well years went by and on my 16th birthday my mother asked me "so what is your decision"? i said mom I have came this far and have dealt wiht my natural hair, there is no need to perm now" ( since i discovered weave, ponytails, and a hot comb which I would only use maybe once a year just to see how long my hair was). Up to the age of 23, I had a lot of hair but I would wonder why is it not growing I want my hair to grow. So then I went on my hair growth journey , September 2009 I started to really take care of my hair no hot combing and only natural products in my hair some store bought and some I made myself. my hairs has more than doubled in lenghth since then im im soooooooo happy with my kinky beautiful hair.
