The album opens with the lively track "The Rambling Irishman" by Dervish, which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The traditional Irish sound is evident throughout the album, with the use of the fiddle, flute, and accordion.

The standout track on the album is Karan Casey's rendition of "The Fiddle and the Drum". Casey's haunting vocals are accompanied by a simple yet powerful arrangement that perfectly captures the essence of the song.
