Review by Chris Rhoden

Boys and Girls is the debut album of British singer and actor Tommy Steele, released in 1957. The album features 12 tracks that showcase Steele's versatile vocal range and his ability to blend different genres of music, including pop, rock and roll, and jazz.

The album opens with the upbeat and catchy track "Rock with the Caveman," which became a big hit for Steele. Other notable tracks include "Elevator Rock," "Water Water," and "Butterfingers." Steele's vocals are backed by a lively band and a chorus of female singers, creating a fun and energetic atmosphere throughout the album.

The album also features a few slower, more romantic tracks, such as "Time to Kill" and "Plant a Kiss." These songs showcase Steele's ability to convey emotion through his vocals and lyrics.

English singer actor and entertainer, regarded as Britain's first teen idol and rock and roll star. Born: December 17, 1936 // Bermondsey, London, United Kingdom. Like many who followed him Tommy started his musical career by playing in a skiffle group. He was also the first of the London based artists who would precurse their fame by singing at the 2 'I's Coffee Bar- a venue which later hosted the virtually unknown Adam Faith and Cliff Richard. Although Tommy's brand of Rock and Roll was nearer to 'easy listening' than that of some of his American contemporaries he more than made up for it with his personality. His manager, Larry Parnes, once said "Tommy Steele was the greatest entertainer that I ever had on my books
