Tilian Pearson - Material Me

Tilian Pearson's album Material Me has been receiving some buzz lately, and it's not hard to see why. The former Dance Gavin Dance frontman's solo effort is a solid collection of pop-infused rock tracks that showcase his impressive vocal range and songwriting skills.
The album opens with the upbeat and catchy "Made of Plastic," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. Pearson's vocals are smooth and effortless, and the instrumentation is polished and tight. "Dose" is another standout track, with its infectious chorus and danceable beat.
One of the album's strengths is its variety. While many of the songs have a pop sensibility, there are also some heavier tracks, like "All I Crave Is Peace" and "Cocky," that add some edge to the mix. Pearson also isn't afraid to experiment, as evidenced by the electronic-infused "Ghost Town" and the dreamy ballad "Half."
