Steely Dan's 1978 album FM is a true masterpiece of jazz-rock fusion. The album features some of the band's most iconic tracks, including "Do It Again," "Reelin' In The Years," and "Rikki Don't Lose That Number."
The band's signature sound, characterized by intricate harmonies and jazzy chord progressions, is on full display throughout the album. The musicianship is impeccable, with each member of the band contributing their own unique style and skill to the mix.
The album's title track, "FM," is a standout, showcasing a funky, upbeat groove that perfectly captures the energy of the era. The song was actually written for the movie of the same name, which was set in the world of rock radio.
