Paris Mon Amour, the latest album by Sonya Yoncheva, Orquestra De La Communitat Valenciana, and Frédéric Chaslin, is a beautiful tribute to the City of Love. The album features a collection of French arias and songs, showcasing Yoncheva's stunning vocal range and Chaslin's masterful conducting.
The opening track, "C'est l'amour vainqueur" from Massenet's opera Le Cid, sets the tone for the rest of the album with its soaring melodies and romantic lyrics. Yoncheva's voice is clear and crisp, effortlessly hitting high notes and conveying the emotion of each piece.
Other highlights include "Ah! Je veux vivre" from Gounod's Romeo et Juliette, which showcases Yoncheva's playful side, and "Les chemins de l'amour" by Poulenc, which is a hauntingly beautiful ballad.
