Siobhan Fahey - The MGA Sessions

Review by Aficor

The MGA Sessions by Siobhan Fahey is a refreshing take on her signature sound. The album is a collection of live recordings of Fahey's hits and new material, all performed with her band MGA. The production is raw and unpolished, giving the album a live feel that captures the energy of Fahey's performances.

The album opens with "Pulsatron," a new track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song is a catchy synth-pop number with a driving beat and a hook that will stick in your head for days. "Pulsatron" is followed by "Runaway," a classic Bananarama hit that gets a fresh update with MGA's live instrumentation.

Fahey's vocals are as strong as ever on The MGA Sessions. Her voice is full of emotion and power on tracks like "Bitter Pill" and "Revolution." She also shows off her range on the haunting ballad "Ghost."

The album's standout track is "C U Next Tuesday," a punk-inspired anthem that is both catchy and empowering. The song is a tribute to the women who have been called the derogatory term and encourages them to take control of their lives.
