Review by Rhea Papellero

The album "I Wanna Meet You" by Shames is a compelling and dynamic collection of tracks that showcases the band's impressive range and versatility. From the driving, guitar-heavy opener "I Wanna Meet You" to the haunting ballad "Lost in the Night," the album is a masterclass in genre-bending and experimentation.

The band's musicianship is on full display throughout the album, with tight rhythms and intricate guitar work providing the backbone for each track. The vocals are equally impressive, with lead singer John Shames delivering emotive, powerful performances that perfectly complement the music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Broken Dreams," a melancholy ballad that showcases the band's ability to craft poignant and relatable lyrics. The track is a testament to the band's songwriting abilities, with Shames' lyrics painting a vivid picture of heartbreak and loss.

A real catchy tune. I just to hear this at night in Detroit on Chicago radio, i think WLS.
Izzy loves cool rock music ? ? ? Enjoy 1966.
This is awesome
This made a brief appearance in my area in late 1966 then quickly disappeared.
I remember them being very in throughout the burbs (like Des Plaines) with the younger set. Looking back, it seems this would actually be classified as bubble gum rock.
