The album "South of the Border: The Hoiriger Schottische" by Sammy Kaye is a delightful collection of lively and upbeat tunes that will have listeners tapping their feet and dancing along. Kaye, known for his big band sound, showcases his skill as a bandleader on this album with his expert arrangements and dynamic performances.

The album opens with the title track, "South of the Border," a classic tune that has been covered by many artists over the years. Kaye's version features a lively horn section and a driving beat that sets the tone for the rest of the album.
