I’m 71 loved this album.
My favorite version of Aquarius. My sister had this album when it came out.
One of my favorite songs in the entire universe that I can sing my ass off to. This songs brings me out of the darkness.
This music was run into the ground back in the early 70s. My marching band played it. Then, 8 track tapes became obsolete and this music was largely forgotten.
I am 73. In 1970, I saw the Mercury Tribe preform Hair in Charleston, WV. The next day we had lunch with Ted Lang (Hud). The second night we had seats on the front row, left center for the 2nd performance!
I was 18 and living in the SF Bay Area when this album was released.
I had just turned 16 and still under "house rules" when this came out. Mum banned it from the house so I missed listening to most of. I love listening to it on YouTube now
Donny Hathaway singing lead.
The age of Aquarius
And mind through liberation
Armony and understanding. No more false
Everything is revealed
My favorite musical in 1960 s
"...listening for the new told lies..." How did a generation go from not trusting the establishment, to worshiping whatever the media and government tells them?
The build is everything.
ımm The Original Broadway cast woohoo
My song!
OMGosh this song held a place in my psyche as a kid in the 70s that I couldn't explain, maybe it was the desire for a better world which we never got
