Review by Ziad Sourany

Go Up In A The Dance, the album by Ranking Trevor, is a classic reggae masterpiece that showcases the artist's incredible talent and skill. The album features ten tracks that are infused with the infectious rhythms and beats of traditional Jamaican music, as well as Trevor's unique style and delivery.

From the opening track, "Wah So", Trevor's powerful vocals and catchy melodies draw the listener in and set the tone for the rest of the album. Tracks like "Rub A Dub Style" and "Three Piece Chicken and Chips" are classic examples of the dancehall sound that dominated the reggae scene in the 1980s.

However, it is Trevor's ability to infuse his music with social commentary that sets this album apart. Tracks like "Socialism Train" and "Inflation" tackle serious issues with a level of intelligence and insight that is rare in popular music.
