Review by Marcos Martins

Happy Birthday is the thirty-sixth studio album by the late American singer-songwriter Prince, released posthumously on June 7, 2019. The album features previously unheard recordings from the artist's legendary vault and is a collection of tracks that were recorded in honor of his birthday.

The album opens with the funky and upbeat "Don't Let Him Fool Ya," which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The track features Prince's signature guitar riffs and catchy lyrics that will have listeners dancing along in no time.

Another standout track on the album is "I Need a Man," a sultry and seductive track that showcases Prince's incredible vocal range. The song is a slow jam that builds to a powerful climax and is sure to be a fan favorite.

Prince's love of jazz is also on full display on Happy Birthday, with tracks like "My Love Is Forever" and "Blanche" featuring smooth jazz rhythms and complex instrumentation. The album closes with the emotional ballad "Forever In My Life," a fitting tribute to the artist's legacy.

The ultimate showman, musician and visionary. No one surpasses him , ever that I've seen or heard of. If you know of someone that does please please let me know as the void needs filling!
Wendy said that the toughest thing about playing these shows was when Prince would hold fingers in the air to signal that the band should play a break and how many of them. It was tough because it meant that you had to be on the ball the entire time, Prince never allowed a single slip up.

But the Parade tour is also notable because of Prince having expanded the band. Wendy now says that Prince was actually road testing the first line-up for the NPG, after the tour was over, he fired everybody from the Revolution's classic line-up except Dr. Fink.
I was at this concert, 10th row center, his birthday party !
Watching this leaves me speechless " again"
3 hours plus he was on stage, he added Sheila E midway
The word entertainer fails here, he was never meant to be dubbed an entertainer
he was is a genius using Music as his tool to communicate with people - I miss you every day
Heaven we will meet again
WHEN is the Parade concert going to be released on DVD, I am desperate for it. My favourite Price era, refined and deluxe heaven
Detroit will always adore you.??
