Review by Mark Lester Buenaobra

The Dawn Raids Part One by Pineapple Thief is a stunning album that showcases the band's incredible musical talent and versatility. The album is a perfect blend of progressive rock, alternative rock, and pop, and features some of the band's best work to date.

The album opens with the epic track "Versions of the Truth," which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its soaring melodies, intricate instrumentation, and haunting vocals. From there, the album takes the listener on a journey through a range of emotions and moods, from the brooding "Break It All" to the uplifting "Demons" to the introspective "Driving Like Maniacs."

Throughout the album, Pineapple Thief's musicianship is on full display, with each member delivering standout performances that complement each other perfectly. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with intricate riffs and solos that add depth and texture to the songs.

About The Pineapple Thief

The Pineapple Thief is the musical vision of (formerly with ). He started TPT as an outlet for his music back in 1999. In the spring of 2002, after the third album, Variations on a Dream, which was probably the album that gave TPT the boost they needed, reaching out to yet more people all over the world, Bruce decided to form a band to take his music to the fans. The band consisted of his close musical friends - former university band mate on bass, on guitars, on keyboards and on drums. Matt has since left but (who co-produced and mixed the fourth album 10 Stories Down) has since joined to play keyboards. Wayne Higgins left the band in March 2008, but the group continues as a four-piece live act. The first six albums were released on records. In late 2007, the band were signed to , who would later re-release their older albums..
