About Pedro Ortaça
Pedro Marques Ortaça (São Luiz Gonzaga, June 29, 1942) better known as Pedro Ortaça is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist of nativist music. He sings about things from his past and pays tribute to other missionary singers such as Jayme Caetano Braun, Cenair Maicá and Noel Guarany, the four artists called Troncos Missioneiros. In 2006, he was awarded the Vitor Mateus Teixeira Award, given by the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul.
