Origami Arktika's Nidaros 97 is a hauntingly beautiful album that transports listeners to the icy landscapes of Norway. The band's use of field recordings and atmospheric soundscapes creates an immersive experience, as if one is standing on a frozen tundra with the wind howling around them. The sparse instrumentation, including bowed guitar and cello, adds to the sense of isolation and desolation.
