Mute Beat's latest album, Still Echo, offers a unique blend of reggae, dub, and world music that is both captivating and thought-provoking. The band's signature sound is characterized by a heavy emphasis on percussion, which is expertly woven into each track to create a mesmerizing rhythm that is impossible to resist.
The album's opening track, "Echoes," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its haunting melody and hypnotic beat. From there, the album takes listeners on a journey through a variety of musical styles, including the upbeat and energetic "Jungle Fever" and the more contemplative "Silent Echo."
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Darkness," which features a haunting vocal performance from guest singer Akane. The song's lyrics are a powerful commentary on the state of the world today, and the band's use of dub-style effects adds an extra layer of intensity to the message.
