This was the first flipside of popsicle s and iceicles
Pretty song. BTW, Kim Fowley had great musical ears; the rest of him was a jerk.
Not a great song, but wonderful harmonies by the Murmaids. Great talent has the ability to elevate its material. This is an example of the Murmaids doing just that. They deserved to be more than one-hit wonders. The timing and the changes in the industry were simply against them. With their gentle, unpretentious sound, they could have enjoyed major success singing some of the old standards. Thank you for the memories, girls.
could you post their bunny stomp song please. thanks
Monica Lewinsky's theme song?? ;)
This months Record collector interview with fowley, "the murmaids were real ugly & one had a moustache! LMAO sure it wasn't you? lol
Lovely voices. And great vocalizing, far superior to today's singers.
mezskr4. Thank you 4 your response I didn't expect it I am always trying to unearth little known musical treasures. Big Star certainly is one of them. And Arthur Alexander (he wrote "Anna" a masterpiece, covered by the Beatles.)
12 years old when this came out. 71 soon and I can still remember every line. And yes, i srill have my 45.
such a great song
