Review by Tyler Stark

Marty's latest album, "Marty On Planet Mars," is a stellar addition to the artist's discography. The album features a unique blend of electronic and retro sounds, creating a futuristic and nostalgic listening experience. Marty's vocals are captivating, delivering emotive performances throughout the album.

The opening track, "Red Planet," sets the tone for the album with its ethereal, spacey soundscapes. "Mars Rover" and "Alien Love" showcase Marty's ability to craft catchy, danceable tunes that still maintain a sense of depth and emotion. The album also features slower, more introspective tracks, such as "Lost in Space" and "Starlight," which provide a nice balance to the more upbeat tracks.

About Marty

Performer on a "break-in" record. This was a type of novelty most associated with where a person, typically claiming to be a reporter, asks a question which is then "answered" with a small excerpt of a hit song. This particular record was the cause of copyright infringement lawsuits from Elvis Presley Music, Venice Music, Monument Music, Walden Music and Melrose Music according to a page 11 article in Billboard magazine of Jan 5, 1957. The single was rush released while Buchanon and Goodman's "The Flying Saucer" was still charting.

Comments

A #2 hit in Atlanta.
Who is Marty?
Can someone tell me some songs in the 78
1956
I noticed that this record is from the SF Bay Area. Not a surprise; WPLJ was a moderately popular local hit by the Four Deuces, a group from the Salinas CA area.
