Maria Callas is one of the most celebrated opera singers of all time, and her album Collection showcases her incredible range and talent. The album features a variety of arias and songs from some of the most well-known operas, including La Traviata, Carmen, and Tosca.
The first thing that stands out about Collection is Callas' powerful, emotive voice. She effortlessly hits high notes and conveys the emotion behind each piece, whether it's a heartbreaking ballad or a triumphant aria. Her interpretation of each piece is masterful, and it's clear that she has a deep understanding of the music and the characters she's portraying.
The album is also notable for the quality of the recordings. Despite being recorded in the 1950s and 60s, the sound quality is surprisingly clear and crisp. This allows Callas' voice to truly shine, and it's easy to get lost in the music.
