Review by Cameron Ladd

Paris Olympia 1961 by Les Chaussettes Noires & Eddy Mitchell is a remarkable album that captures the essence of the French rock and roll scene of the early 1960s. The album features some of the most iconic songs from the era, including "Be-Bop-A-Lula" and "Madison Twist."

The album's production quality is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal line perfectly balanced to create a cohesive and enjoyable listening experience. The energy and excitement of the live performance are palpable throughout the album, making it feel like the listener is right there in the audience.

Eddy Mitchell's smooth vocals and Les Chaussettes Noires' tight instrumentation are a perfect match, delivering a sound that is both classic and timeless. The album's pacing is also well thought out, with slower ballads providing a nice break from the upbeat rock and roll tracks.
