I hav'nt heard this song for 40 years, still sounds as good as it did all those years ago thanks for the post.

In the 60's she was popular in the UK on Radio Caroline and Radio London.

In the United States she became the first white British artist to be signed by Motown, releasing her first Motown single in 1970.

But of course it was signing for Elton John's label Rocket Records that made her a UK household name. And what a fabulous singer she was (and still is).

Remember hearing this on her first LP on the Rocket Records label back in the mid-1970s. Had to wait all these years to hear it again. Thanks so much for posting.

This lady should have been a much bigger star - although she did quite well. She is still performing at smaller venues in thr UK. The other side of this single was the excellent "Once A Fool (Always A Fool)". Would be great if someone could post it on YouTube.
