The Impulse Years by Keith Jarrett is a fantastic album that showcases the pianist's incredible talent and versatility. Released in 2015, the album is a compilation of Jarrett's work during his time with the Impulse! record label in the 1970s.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Windup," a lively and energetic piece that showcases Jarrett's impressive improvisational skills. Another highlight is "Common Mama," a soulful and bluesy track that features Jarrett's signature style of playing.
The Impulse Years also includes several tracks from Jarrett's legendary live performances, such as "Ruta and Daitya" and "In Your Quiet Place." These tracks capture the raw energy and emotion of Jarrett's live performances, and are a testament to his status as one of the greatest improvisers of all time.
