Katy Perry's latest album, Wide Awake Pt 1, is a bold and refreshing departure from her previous pop-centric releases. This time around, the singer explores a more mature and introspective sound that showcases her growth as an artist.
The album's lead single, "Never Really Over," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its catchy hooks and relatable lyrics about the ups and downs of relationships. Other standout tracks include the hauntingly beautiful "Cry About It Later" and the empowering anthem "Daisies."
Throughout the album, Perry's vocals are strong and emotive, and she expertly blends elements of pop, rock, and electronic music to create a cohesive and dynamic sound. The production is top-notch, with each song featuring lush instrumentation and intricate arrangements.
