Symphonies N 93 And 94 by Joseph Haydn, performed by Orchester Der Wiener Staatsoper and conducted by Hermann Scherchen, is a delightful album that showcases the genius of Haydn's compositions. The orchestra's execution of the two symphonies is impeccable, with each instrument blending seamlessly with the others to create a harmonious whole.

The album opens with Symphony No. 93, which is characterized by its lively rhythms and playful melodies. The orchestra's interpretation of the piece is energetic and lively, capturing the spirit of Haydn's music perfectly. The second movement, which features a beautiful adagio, is particularly noteworthy, with the orchestra delivering a poignant and heartfelt performance.

Symphony No. 94, also known as the "Surprise" symphony, is equally impressive. The orchestra's performance of the famous second movement, which features a sudden loud chord that was meant to wake up the audience, is particularly memorable. The orchestra's execution of the piece is masterful, with each note perfectly placed and every dynamic shift executed flawlessly.

About Joseph Haydn, Orchester Der Wiener Staatsoper , Dirigent Hermann Scherchen

Born: 1732-03-31 (Rohrau, Austria) Born 31 march or 1st April, 1732. Died: 1809-09-05 (Vienna, Austria). Franz Joseph Haydn was an Austrian composer of the Classical period. He brings the "sonata form" to a very high degree of improvement. His symphonies and his string quartets (forms of which he is considered "the father") have become highly inspirational style models. Haydn made a fundamental contribution to the development of chamber music; thanks to the numerous quartets, trios for piano, for strings and also with the unusual trios for baryton, viola and cello.
